MPEI doors are open for everyone:
- persons from foreign countries with completed secondary education (A level) can apply for training at the MPEI Preliminary course for Russian language learning. During this 10-months course additional subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics, engineering drawing) are also studied;
- persons from foreign countries with completed secondary education (A level) after graduation from MPEI Preliminary course or any other Russian university Preliminary course having passed the State TORFL Test “Teaching of Russian as a Foreign Language” can apply for education at Bachelor course in certain fields of study and get the wide and deep basic education during 4 years (education in Russian medium);
- persons from foreign countries with Bachelor degree can apply for Master course (2 years) and specialize in certain fields of science in Russian language;
- besides, MPEI provides education at Bachelor and Master levels in English medium in the only specialty of Computer Engineering (Bachelor) and Computer Science (Master). In this case Preliminary Russian language course is not necessary;
- persons from foreign countries with Master degree can apply for Ph.D. course (4 years) in different specialties for getting the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (in Russian);
- persons from foreign countries with Ph.D. degree can apply for Doctor of Science course;
- persons from foreign countries with Master or Ph.D. degree can apply for short-time training courses (up to 1 year) at various MPEI departments in Russian;
- any foreign person can apply for Russian language course (either basic Russian training course or specialized course).
