MPEI International Division informs that from March 15 to March 18 in the Republic of Kazakhstan (Taldykorgan city) passed events of the First Academic Competition "Time to study in Russia! ". The main prize was quota for training in Russia at the expense of the Russian Federation state budget for winners and prize-winners. Winners of the Academic Competition will be able independently to choose for training any technical university from the Russian Universities which took part in the Academic Competition.

From Russian Universities Consortium representatives from MPEI and NRTU "MISIS" took part in this event. The MPEI dean of foreign students - Manukhin V. V. - headed the selection commission of the Academic Competition. In the Academic Competition there took part 200 school students of graduation classes from physical and mathematical schools and lyceums of the various cities from Kazakhstan. The Academic Competitions were held in the territory of "Nazarbayev's intellectual school" in Taldykorgan City. By results of the Academic Competition 5 winners and 8 laureates were selected. Quotas for training in Russian Universities are provided to winners and laureates of the Academic Competition.
