IREE named after V.A. Kotelnikov was created in 2002 of the department of Electronic Technology and the department of Radio Engineering. It is one of the leading units where there are trained personnel for knowledge-intensive industries related to electronics, radio engineering and communication systems, that is confirmed by the high level of demand for graduates. Currently, at the Institute there are trained bachelors in 3 fields of study (6 programs), masters in 3 fields of study (8 programs), engineers with a specialist degree in "Radio Engineering Systems and Complexes." The Institute is rightly proud of large volumes of research work, including those received in competitions of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Russian Science Foundation, high publication activities of employees, Ph.D.-students and students. Among other things a crucial role is played by international relations, the involvement of foreign professors and the academic exchange of students, including the double degree programs.
