The keynote speaker was Turatbek Duishenaliev, MPEI Honorary Doctor. The Commission members reviewed a presentation on the activities of MPEI as a CIS basic organization for training, retraining, and professional development of personnel in the electrical power engineering sector. It was noted that MPEI actively implements training, retraining, and professional development programs for specialists in the power engineering field of CIS countries, contributing to the development of human capital and the introduction of advanced technologies. These efforts enhance the efficiency, reliability, and safety of energy supply, along with other key indicators that support the university’s mission in addressing the challenges facing the power engineering field. t was emphasized that from 2022 to 2024, the number of MPEI students from CIS countries grew by 23%, and the number of participants in continuing education internships tripled. Over 70 continuing education programs were delivered for CIS students. MPEI’s digital education platform, offering 145 online courses, is now used across the CIS as a model for the digital transformation of engineering education, including a certification and competency assessment system. A strategically important area of MPEI’s activity remains the organization and participation of its staff in international scientific and technical conferences. Over 15 such conferences were held during the reporting period, offering opportunities for publication in Scopus and the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). The analysis of the presented data confirms that MPEI, as a CIS basic organization, plays a key role in strengthening cooperation and integration in areas such as professional training, the use of renewable energy sources, and the implementation of high-tech equipment and innovations in the power engineering field of CIS countries. The meeting also reviewed several reports on the activities of other CIS basic organizations in various fields. In conclusion, both parties signed a protocol.
