New bilingual textbook on calculating NPP components using SMath

MPEI publishing house has released a new textbook titled “Calculation of NPP Components Using SMath (SMathda AES elementlarini hisob-kitob qilish)”. The authors are MPEI staff members Valery Ochkov, Julia Shatskikh and Svetlana Nematova.

The textbook is published in a bilingual format in Russian and Uzbek. It focuses on methods for performing engineering calculations using the freely available physical and mathematical software SMath Studio. The study examines components of nuclear power plants with water-cooled, water-moderated reactors, as well as elements of renewable energy systems, particularly hydropower.

The publication is intended for under-graduate, post-graduate and Ph.D.-students in fields related to information technology, thermal power engineering, nuclear energy, power engineering, materials science and other engineering disciplines. It will also be useful for professionals working in energy conservation and energy efficiency.
