Academic Competition «It is time to study in Russia!» in Africa

MPEI International Division informs that since 25.11.14 till 03.12.14 in the countries of the African continent there passed a cycle of events within the Academic Competition "It is time to study in Russia!" in the cities of Luanda (Angola) and Windhoek (Namibia). The purpose of the Academic Competition is selection of the most talented graduates of the schools who wish to be trained in Russian Universities in the technical areas of preparation at the expense of Russian budget.

Besides Angola and Namibia, this year Academic Competition "It is time to study in Russia!" took place in 13 countries, including three countries of Africa: Zambia, Ethiopia and Kenya. The total of the school-students who took part in testing on mathematics made more than 500 people that is almost twice more, than last year.

After testing, representatives of MPEI and NUST "MIS&S" made presentations for school-students and their parents about the program realized by Russian Federation Government - this program of scholarship support for foreign citizens and compatriots concerning training in Russia, about system of the Russian higher education, realized educational programs, and also conditions of stay, social and cultural life of students in Russian Universities.

 

Information support of Academic Competition events was performed with involvement of national mass media. The information on the Academic Competition, place of its performing and conditions of participation was distributed through the leading state newspapers.
