MPEI participated in the IUNC Latin America 2016 virtual conference

International Administration informs that on the 30th of November and on the 1st of December, 2016 National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" participated in the IUNC Latin America 2016 virtual conference in Rio de Janeiro held by our partners, the Eastern European University Association (EEUA) organization.

There was a virtual participation by means of 3D conference platform. MPEI virtual stand and additional information, movie and brochures were also presented there. At the conference MPEI was represented by an employee of Department of International Relations Kalenskaya E. and Head of Department of Ph.D.-students and Trainees Savchenkova N. The materials for the stand were prepared and online conversations with other conferees were organized. Other MPEI staff could also attend virtual lectures during the first day of the conference.


Representatives of various universities and educational establishments from Latin America, Europe, India, and also agents, intermediaries and language schools participated in the exhibition and at the conference. Skype-conversations were held with:

1. Ms. Beatriz Rodrigues, University of Piaui, Teresina, Brazil (exchange of information about universities)

2. Mr.Bogdan Voronovskyi, EEUA Eastern European University Association, Moscow, Russia (maintenance of further contacts with EEUA and MPEI)

3. Mr. Robert Wagubi, ASEF Africa Student Education Fairs, Kampala, Uganda (he expressed his interest in MPEI educational programs for the African students)

4. Mr. Marc Nelson, Manhattan Institute of Management, New York, USA (he invites the Russian students to study upon the Management program for a fee)

5. Ms.Vinita Sharma, India Edulearning Cultural Exchange, Jaipur, India (representative of the organization of the academic exchanges with India)

Since not everybody can participate in the Skype-conversation, information about MPEI and readiness to discuss the cooperation was radiated to the following representatives:

1. San Pedro University, Chimbote, Peru.

2. International University of Santa Cruz , Bolivia

3. Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, San Jose, Costa Rica

4. Universidad Panamericana , Mexico

5. Universidad Nacional del Este , Paraguay.

At the moment the correspondence with these establishments is maintained.

We hope that the participation in this event will allow to cement and expand relations of the university with foreign partners, and also it will promote further attraction of foreign students to MPEI.
