MPEI Rector – Honourable Professor of Wrocław University of Technology

MPEI delegation headed by Rector, professor Nikolay Rogalev visited Poland since 30.09.2015 till 04.10.2015 by the invitation of Wrocław University of Technology to participate in events concerning the opening of new academic year and on the occasion of solemn ceremony to award a rank of Honourable Professor of Wrocław University of Technology to MPEI Rector. Also within the visit there were held negotiations on the organization of Conference of International Offices Association of Higher Educational Institutions – AMO and realization of joint educational programs. MPEI delegation included:

• Vice-Rector on International Relations Vladimir N. Zamolodchikov;
• Head of Department of International Relations Alexander Y. Tarasov.

On the 01.10.15 MPEI delegation took part in opening ceremony of new academic year. For Wrocław University of Technology 2015 is a year of anniversary. 70 years ago in Wrocław University of Technology there was presented the first scientific report and there was started training of students in Polish. At the moment the Wrocław University of Technology is leading technical university of Poland. It should be noted that over 50 years our Universities closely interact in scientific and educational areas. The participants of the anniversary ceremony: Minister of Science and higher education of Poland professor Lena Kolarska-Bobidska, Heads of executive and legislature of Wroclaw, deputies of Seim, Rectors of Universities, representatives of educational and business structures leaders. Within the opening of new 2015-2016 academic year there was held the ceremony to award the rank of Honourable Professor of Wrocław University of Technology to MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev.

On the 02.10.15 and 03.10.15 there were held meetings with the management of the University and representatives of the international office. There were discussed issues concerning development of joint educational programs, two diploma programs and organizing the Conference of International Offices Association of Higher Educational Institutions – AMO in MPEI in 2016. There was emphasized the importance and need of further students' exchanges and summer students' schools.
