MPEI headed the Power Engineering direction in a new BRICS Network University

​On the 07-08.04.2016 in Yekaterinburg there took place the first Conference for Universities - participants of BRICS Network University where interest groups of Universities in 6 focus areas of works of a new Network University were formed. Universities of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa entered in the group of the "Power engineering" area.

MPEI was elected as a coordinator of the "Power engineering" area at the first stage of new University formation.

At the Conference Vice-Rector of MPEI Zamolodchikov Vladimir signed the protocol on accession of MPEI to BRICS Network University. Besides, there were signed the protocols on intentions with new partner Universities entering into BRICS.

Except the Power engineering area, experts of MPEI have entered the interest groups of NU BRICS on "Information technologies" and "Water resources and pollution control".
