Press release of the meeting of Community Council of the CIS Base institution

​On the 30th of May, 2016 in MPEI there took place a meeting of Community Council of the Base institution of Commonwealth of Independent States for training, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel in the sphere of power engineering. On the 30th of October, 2015 National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" received the status of the Base institution by the decision of Heads of governments of the CIS member-states.

The participants of the work: representatives of the leading Universities performing the training for personnel from power engineering, the research organizations, the largest energy companies from five CIS member-states and also representatives of CIS Executive Committee, Executive Committee of CIS Electric Power Council and the working group of National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" on the Base institution. During the meeting there were used the video conferencing tools.

There were discussed the issues concerning the structure of Community Council, the purposes and tasks of CIS Base institution in the sphere of power engineering, the work schedule of the Base institution for 2016, the organization of representative offices of the CIS Base institution in the sphere of power engineering, the interaction between the CIS Base institution and the leading power companies in the sphere of power engineering and the preparation of the work schedule of the Base institution for 2017.

The meeting of Community Council was held by Rector of MPEI, Head of the Base institution, Rogalev Nikolay who has issued the statement about the structure of Community Council. There were also the following speakers making the reports concerning the agenda: Deputy Director of Economic Cooperation Department of CIS Executive Committee A. Kuli-Zade, Deputy Manager of the Basic institution in the sphere of power engineering, Director of Institute of virtual and extended education of National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" Belousov S., Adviser to Rector of Siberian Federal University Podlesny S., Head of Personnel Management Unit and Organizational Development of OJSC "Inter RAO" Puchka S. There was made the report "The work experience and the prospective areas of cooperation in the sphere of additional education of the Belarusian electrical power system" by Director of Education City Department "Training Centre for Leading Employees and Specialists in the area of Power Engineering" Sarantsev V. and Senior HR Manager from personnel administration of State production association "BelEnergo" Zhavoronkov N.

Participants of the Community Council meeting have noted the importance of the Base institution activity for providing homogeneous educational system in the CIS territory and energy security of the CIS member-states.
