During the 24th session of the Russian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister, called for intensifying work to form a Russian-Vietnamese Consortium of Technical Universities.

On April 7, during a visit to the new campus of Hanoi National University (HNU), for training highly professional personnel for various spheres, Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the consortium creation would make it possible to provide industry, including the energy sector, with highly qualified personnel capable of solving the most serious tasks. "To develop scientific and educational cooperation, it is necessary to intensify work on the formation of a Russian-Vietnamese consortium of technical universities on MPEI basis together with MAI and Hanoi National University” – Dmitry Chernyshenko noted.

This autumn, Russian participants are ready to accept representatives of Vietnam's industrial partners for internships to launch the Consortium's activities. The program will be designed for up to 5 months, and training will be conducted in Vietnamese or English. It is assumed that Vietnamese participants will be accompanied by their compatriots who are studying under the main educational programs of universities. Thus, it will be easier for Vietnamese students to adapt.
