"Inter RAO" and RNС of СIGRE have signed the agreement on cooperation

Moscow.17.06.2016. INTERFAX - The energy company reports that within SPIEF-2016 PJSC Inter RAO (MOEX: IRAO) and the Russian National Committee of CIGRE have signed the agreement on cooperation in the area of electric energy systems researches. 

PJSC Inter RAO will become a base institution for the thematic focuses of scientific and technical activities of RNC "The International Council on Large Electric Systems" (RNC of CIGRE). In particular, the company will take part in the research committees "Rotating Machines" and "Power Engineering Influence on the Environment".

According to the press release of the company, the joint activity on the development of scientific and professional potential of youth in the electrical power industry will become the separate focus of the cooperation. "Inter RAO" manages assets in Russia, and also in Europe and the CIS. The installed capacity of the company power plants is 35 GW. The company is a supervisor of the electric energy export and import. The largest block in the shareholders' equity of "Inter RAO" belongs to JSC Rosneftegaz (27,63%). FGC UES group (MOEX: FEES) owns 18,6%, the quasi fiscal block is 19%, the UCP company possesses about 9,7%, "RusHydro" - 4,92%, free float - 19,91%.

"The International Council on Large Electric Systems" (CIGRE) is an international non-governmental and non-commercial organization in the field of power industry. The Council is engaged in the coordination of researches, exchange of experience and scientific and technical information on issues of electrical power systems functioning. The organization unites more than 1 thousand organizations and 6 thousand experts from 90 countries of the world; the headquarters are located in Paris. At the moment the Russian Office includes more than 60 organizations and about 460 power engineering specialists.
