Indonesian delegation at MPEI18.09.2018 On the 4th of September the delegation from the Indonesian Republic embassy together with the representatives of universities and companies of Indonesia visited MPEI. From the embassy part the following persons were present: Mr. Adiguna Wijaya – Plenipotentiary Minister, Advisor and Head of the Information and Socio-cultural issues department. Mr. Enjay Diana – First Secretary of the Information and Socio-cultural issues department. The representatives of the top-management of the PLN Persero Enterprise and seven Indonesian Universities were part of the delegation. PLN is a dynamically developing national enterprise situated in Indonesia and possessing one of the largest assets worldwide. Towards the end of 2017, the overall power of the electric power plants belonging to PLN was 39605,80 MW.Basic directions of PLN development: 1. Design and development of power engineering objects: generation, transfer and distribution of electric power, and supplementary activities such as budgeting, business development, organizational development and HR. 2. Building of power infrastructure, i.e. electric power plants, power transfer lines and substations. 3. Utilization and commercialization of electric power plants such as: coal power plants, hydro power plants, gas turbine power plants, geothermal power plants, diesel power plants, sun and wind power plants, as well as functioning of the transfer and distribution systems. PLN also buys private electric power and recycles private power stations. 4. Scientific research and power engineering development.The Universities represented by the delegation were the following: Udayana University (Universitas Udayana) Gadjah Mada University (Universitas Gadjah Mada) Diponegoro University (Universitas Diponegoro) Bandung Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Bandung) University of Indonesia (Universitas Indoneisa) Bogor Agricultural Institute (Institut Pertanian Bogor) Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember) The visitors were welcome by the MPEI Rector Nikolay D. Rogalev, Vice-Rector on research activity Viktor K. Dragunov, Vice-Rector on International Relations Alexander E. Tarasov and Head of International Administration Sergey V. Shirinskii. Members of Department of Relay Protection guided the delegation through the laboratory complex demonstrating the basic directions of the Department’s activity.Upon the conclusion the dialogue discussion was held. In its course the Rector’s speech has taken place along with the reports of the plenipotentiary Minister Adiguna Wijaya and of the expert in the domain of Stations and Power Engineering of the Institut Teknologi Bandung, Suwarno Harjo. The event was crowned by the reports of six Rectors and one Vice-Rector of the largest Indonesian Universities.
