Support of MPEI projects

• Financial support of MPEI projects jointed with various German Universities (students of the MPEI – TU Ilmenau Double Degree program received scholarships for participation in summer schools of TU Ilmenau and a year-long Master course in Germany).
• Financial support of annual meetings of graduates of the DAAD program in Moscow.
• Organization of presentations about the possibilities of receiving DAAD scholarships for training and scientific internships in Germany at "German Engineering Faculty of MPEI - TU Ilmenau"
• The work of the DAAD lecture school at MPEI for the language training of students that are keen to pass an internship in Germany.

Mr. Hiller paid a number of visits to MPEI, participated in the presentations for students and teaching staff of MPEI and was an invited reporter at the conferences and symposiums of our University.

• Owner of the 8th Beijing Youth Prize in Science and Technology.

• One of the participants of MPEI projects (Departments of Engineering Thermal Physics and of General Physics and Nuclear Fusion) in frames of joint grants of the RFBR and SFNS.

Research activity

• Under his management, sections of official scientific programs for the production automation of Socialistic Republic of Vietnam have been successfully developed and implemented;
• With his participation, a joint laboratory has been set up in the Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), and another in the Institute of Management and Informatics (Hanoi);
• One of his achievements was the development of software tools in the form of a package of COTECSIM application programs for simulating complex control systems. They were used for training at a number of the Russian universities (Almaty Institute of Power Engineering, Kazakh Polytechnic Institute) and in Vietnam (Hanoi Polytechnic Institute), as well as for calculations of process control systems in a number of engineering organizations, such as NPO Vector, Novosibirsk, KB Pavlodar aluminum plant, etc.

Hlaing Min Oo

Year: 2022
Dr.Sci.(Techn.), Head of the Energy Department of the scientific and technical research center DSSTRC, Myanmar. MPEI alumnus. In 2009 he successfully defended his PhD thesis, and in 2017 he obtained his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering Systems and Complexes.

Scientific and academic achievements:

More than 10 master's theses (Myanmar and Russian) and 1 PhD thesis were defended under Hlaing Min Oo's supervision.

He has more than 42 published works, including 20 certificates of authorship and patents of inventions and utility models.

Relying on his education and hard work, he is currently one of Myanmar's top experts in the field of multiple converters and power supplies. This is evidenced by the numerous awards and titles he has received in his home country.

As a pilot project, a low power 30W static frequency converter, a 300VA solar inverter recharger, and a 3kW hybrid solar and wind system have also been successfully installed as research.

Turabdjanov Sadritdin Makhamatdinovich

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Rector of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Academic (Dissertation) Council at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology; full member of the International Academy of University Sciences (Russia); member of the editorial board of the Chemical Technology International Journal.

Scientific and academic achievements:

- Honorary Doctor of the Belarusian State Technological University,
- Honorary Professor of the Belarusian National Technical University,
- Honorary Professor of the Peoples' Friendship University of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In consultation with of Sadritdin M. Turabdjanov a research area on creation of synthesis technology of pyridine bases, esters, acetone, and corrosion and scaling inhibitors was developed; a technology of pyridine and methylpyridin derivatives based on acetylene, ethylene, carbonyl compounds with ammonia and amines was developed; technology for obtaining corrosion inhibitor on the basis of condensation of crotonic fraction with ammonia has been developed and put into production; possibility of principle use of ether-aldehyde fraction and fusel-oils for obtaining esters by reprocessing of wastes of biochemical production of ether-aldehyde fraction and fusel-oils has been theoretically and experimentally proved.

17 PhD and 6 Dr.Sc thesis were defended under supervision of Sadritdin M. Turabdjanov, he is an author of 17 patents, over 250 refereed articles, 8 textbooks and training manuals, 2 monographs and over 20 methodological inventions.

Sadritdin M. Turabdjanov participated in a considerable increase in the contractual framework for the development of cooperation in the scientific and educational area between MPEI and Tashkent State Technical University, including the development of joint educational programmes.
