Tenth Open Competition of MPEI on Russian language for foreign students of non-philological universities

MPEI informs that according to plan of work with foreign students at March 18th the annual competition on Russian language was held in MPEI. This competition was arranged during 10 years. This year it was devoted to 70 anniversary of victory in the Second World war, 85 anniversary of our university, 60 anniversary of Department of Russian language. All this can be seen at photo. 

 

Besides the students of our university, another 14 Moscow universities sent their teams for participation: MTUSI, MGUL, MGTU GA, RGAU MCHA, MGSU, NIYAU MIFI (Moscow), NIYAU MIFI (Obninsk city), MGB PS, MGMU), MFTI), MGTU Stankin), MGTU REA and RKHTU.

213 foreign students emulated in several nomination: recitation and singing in Russian. The program consisted in 118 performances. Participant were divided into three categories: students of preliminary course; student of 1-2 academic years, graduate and PhD students.

 

We see representative of 32 countries of the world: Myanma Union, Vietnam, China, Turkey, Angola, Mozambique, Colombia, Burundi, Ghana, Republic of Kongo, Kenya, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Mongolia, Sudan, Peru, Guinea, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Palestine, Iraq, Zambia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, Madagascr, Senegal, Macedonia, Romania, France and Mali.

The competition causes great interest of students and teachers. The competent jury consisting of teachers of different universities, developed their opinion: NIYA MIDFID (Obninsk) got 6 prizes (from them 4 first prizes), MGUL got one gold medal, NIYAU MIFI (Moscow) got 2 silver medals, MTUSI got two medals, RGAU MCKHA got 1 bronze medal, NITU MISIS got 1 prize. Our university has got 14 medals (5 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze).

 

At 3rd of April there will be evening concert during Interfestival for foreign students.​
