Traditional Annual Festival of MPEI foreign students

In March-April of 2015 the traditional annual festival for foreign students was held in MPEI. This year is has a motto “MPEI is international university” devoted to 85-anniversary of our university. Within the limits of InterFestival the different cultural and sport activities was held – The Competition in Russian Languages, the Competition of national food, sport competitions for foreign students, an exhibition and the final concert.  

Students from Latin America Vietnam, Ghana, Egypt, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Maynmar, Nigeria, Sudan, Uzbekistan participated in the Interfestival.

Sport competition included football, basketball, volleyball, chess, table-tennis, badmington, press, tightening on the bar.

At April 2nd in the large hall of the first floor on the main MPEI building students from different countries (for example, from Myanmar (photo 256), Latin America (photo 254), Vietnam (photo 255) etc.) represented by students from these countries. Totally, all countries, from which foreign students are trained at MPEI. The exhibition was visited by MPEI Vice-Rector V.N. Zamolodchikov and Vice-Rector on academic activity V.A. Grechikhin.

 

 

 

At April 3rd the final action was held in MPEI House of Culture - rewarding of winners of Russian Language Competition, excellent students, who actively deals with social work, winners of sport competitions, the concert organized by the foreign students. This action was opened by the speech of MPEI Vice-Rector V.N. Zamolodchikov (photos 254, 255). Awards and prized were    presented by MPEI Vice-Rector and Head of Russian Language Department S.N. Vakurov.
