MPEI joined University Alliance of the New Silk Road

The International Division informs that since 20.06.2015 till 26.05.2015 MPEI delegation took part in constituent conference of Universities Alliance of the New Silk Road - UANSR.

Representatives from 86 Universities from 26 world countries took part in foundation of the Alliance. During the conference, MPEI delegation took active part in plenary sessions, round tables and in work of discussion platforms. Within the program, representatives of participating Universities adopted the Xian Declaration. The university Alliance is aimed at creation of the general platform for cooperation in the fields of education, development of dialogue of cultures and the people.

 

On the basis of Silk Road scientific belt the university Alliance will perform the exchange between Universities in such areas as training, scientific researches and cultural communication.

During this project realization MPEI is especially interested in:

1. The organization of the academic mobility programs, the exchange education, training and the practice for students and Ph.D.-students within the Alliance.

2. Exchange of delegations of professors and research associates from Alliance Universities participants to establish closer contacts.

3. Exchange of information about the scientific and technical conferences held at participating Universities.

4. Joint participation in realization of grants of various international organizations in social, educational, scientific and public areas.

5. Realization of exchange student's programs for acquaintance to participating Universities, sights and culture of the countries of universities of Alliance.

Within the program of the visit there took place acquaintance to Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xian Petroleum University and North Western Polytechnic University.

 

In general work of delegation promoted establishment of closer contacts with representatives of the Chinese organizations and Universities. These contacts are transferred to the relevant MPEI Divisions for concrete study in each area.
