Food feud between foreign students of MPEI

On 10.12.2015 there took place the Competition of ethnic dishes organized by Council of foreign students of MPEI where teams from the Arab countries, Africa, Bangladesh, China, Kyrgyzstan, Latin America, Mongolia, Myanmar and Tajikistan took part. 

While teams were preparing for the Competition beginning, the audience participated in the comic all-comers. 

This year teams prepared the description and components of dishes for the jury. The jury got in a tight – after all, one dish was tastier than another, and it was really difficult to give their preference to any of them. While judges scored and tabulated the results, the audience gave the highest mark to all courses, and literally in five minutes everything was eaten.

As a result, the ranks and the nominations were the following: 

№ 1 – team of Tajikistan (pilaf). 
№ 2 – team of the Arab countries (yabr: forcemeat from mutton in grape leaves). 
№ 3 – team of Mongolia (fried meat, soup). 

The nomination "The Most Original Dish" – team of China (fried pork with fish taste) and team of Myanmar (tea leaves with salt and sunflower oil). 
The nomination "The Most Practical and Rich Dish" – team of Africa (chapata: flour, water, eggs, tomatoes, onions, carrots, salt).
The nomination "The Most Tasty Dessert" – the Bangladesh team (rice, milk, seasonings). 
The nomination" Most beautiful Dish" – team of Latin America (Yuca frita con guacamole: fried cassava with avocado sauce, tomatoes, greens). 
The nomination" Most amicable and beautiful team" – team of Kyrgyzstan (Kuurdak: beef, bunch, garlic, paprika, soy sauce, greens).
