Information seminar "North Rhine-Westphalia: nanotechnologies and composite materials – chances for the Russian companies and Universities"

The International Department informs that representatives of MPEI have participated in the information seminar "North Rhine-Westphalia: nanotechnologies and composite materials – chances for the Russian companies and Universities". MPEI was represented by S. Balakhonov - chief specialist of the Department of International Relations, V. Govorov – Chief of MPEI Nanocenter.

The federal State North Rhine-Westphalia (German, NRW) is one of economically developed states. In the territory there are located industrial and financial centers Cologne, Dusseldorf, Dortmund, Rurport and Bonn. In German export structure the 20% are by production made in NRW. During the reports performance there was emphasized a need of cooperation expansion in the scientific and technical spheres. During the information seminar there were reports: Ekaterina Karpushenkova - a representative of the Ministry of Innovations, Science and Researches of the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW.INVEST RUSSIA/Moscow), Dr. Martin Crispin (The German House of Science and Innovations in Moscow), Harald Kremer - the Head of a cluster nano - micro and new materials in NRW. Speakers from Institutes and Universities acted as the NRW state structure partners who provide with personnel financial and industrial structures of the NRW state. There were reports from the representatives of the following Institutes and Universities: Institute of textile equipment as a part of Technical University North Rhine-Westphalia (Technische Hochschule Nordrhein-Westfalen) Aachen, Technical University of Dortmund, Higher school Hamm-Lippstadt. The Technical University North Rhine-Westphalia​ (Technische Hochschule Nordrhein-Westfalen) Aachen is the oldest one and it has established relations with German corporations. In particular, the specified University has E.ON scientific center. At the Institute there are established relations with ST.PETERSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY and KAI. Involvement of experts is of special interest for work in the NRW enterprises of corporations.
