MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev visits MPEI Campus in Tashkent

Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Abdukodir Tashkulov and MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev along with Uzbekistan officials followed the process of building the MPEI Campus in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The visit to Uzbekistan was paid by the invitation of Tashkent State Technical University named Islam Karimov and was dedicated to the issues of cooperation and building the Campus of MPEI in Tashkent. In the course of a meeting between TSTU Rector Sadritdin Turabdzhanov and Nikolay Rogalev, the supplementary agreement of interaction between the study departments of nuclear power plants of two universities was signed.

The Rector of National University of Uzbekistan named Mirzo Ulugbek, professor Inomjon Majidov together with the MPEI Rector signed a mutual NUU-MPEI agreement on proactive cooperation in the scientific domain and joint postgraduate training.

The issues of MPEI development in Tashkent were discussed during a meeting with members of the Uzbek government - the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education Abdukadir Toshkulov, the Minister of Preschool Education of Uzbekistan Agrippina Shin, First Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhadzhaev.

MPEI representatives held talks on future mutual programs with the Director of the Institute of semiconductors and microelectronics.

MPEI students in Tashkent and employees of the Research Institute of Physics of Semiconductors and Microelectronics presented an entertainment program in honor of the Navruz holiday. MPEI Rector Nikolai Rogalev congratulated everyone on the holiday and wished the participants of the event some creative success and fruitful scientific achievements.

“Meetings in Uzbekistan have become a follow-up of the MPEI cooperation with Uzbek colleagues from the government, universities and scientific research institutes of Uzbekistan. We continue to realize it in the framework of intergovernmental agreements between Russia and Uzbekistan, extending the traditional relationship of MPEI and key Uzbek Universities. I am sure that in close partnership with Uzbekistan we will be able to actively develop and support scientific and practical activities to train advanced personnel for the energy sector and high-tech production”, - resumed MPEI Rector.
