MPEI took part in the Eurasian Economic Forum

24-27 May, 2022, MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev visited the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum which was held in Bishkek.

The theme of the Eurasian Economic Forum this year is “Eurasian Economic Integration in an Era of Global Change. New opportunities for investment activity”. Nikolay Rogalev shared his experience on the following topics:

- Models of interuniversity cooperation implemented by MPEI within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)

Session - "Development of network forms of interaction in the implementation of educational programs in higher education" as part of the panel discussion New interaction areas in the EAEU.

- MPEI interaction with the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan

Session - "Prospects for creating energy corridors of the EAEU countries" within the framework of the panel discussion Energy and transport infrastructure to promote economic development and integration.

May 25, within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Forum at M. Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University meeting of universities rectors of the EAEU Member States on the establishment of the Eurasian Network University was held. Kyrgyz and Russian universities rectors signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Eurasian Network University.

Nikolay Rogalev also met with Energy Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Bekmurzaev Doskulom Dzhumagulovich and Education and Science Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Beishenaliev Almazbek Beishenalievich. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and MPEI.
