MPEI held CIS Expert Group meeting on Digital Transformation of Fuel and Energy Complex

11 October, 2022, the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States hosted the second meeting of the expert group of the CIS member states on the preparation of draft Concepts for the Digital Transformation of the Fuel and Energy Sectors of the CIS Member States and the Priority Actions Plan for its Implementation. The meeting was chaired by Sergey Belousov, MPEI Vice-Rector on Digital Transformation.

Expert group members consisting of representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, discussed the proposals received and agreed on the texts of the draft Concept for the Digital Transformation of the Fuel and Energy Complex Industries of the CIS Member States and the Priority Plan measures for its implementation, which included sections on interstate interaction and coordination of the digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex , the creation of a regulatory legal space and standards in the field of digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex, the development of scientific and technological potential in the field of digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex and staffing the digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex.

MPEI is one of the leading participants in expert meetings of the CIS Executive Committee, contributing to fundamental documents development for the activities of specialized organizations in the fuel and energy sector both within the country and in the CIS.

MPEI takes an active part in the implementation of the digital transformation of the energy industry, including as part of the implementation of the Strategic Project "Digital Energy" of the University Development Program until 2030 (Priority-2030).
