Iranian specialists completed their studies at MPEI

From 11 to 18 October, 2023 Iranian specialists were trained at the MPEI Department of Metals Technology under the program of additional education "Specialist in working on electron beam complexes". The course was realized for the first time in the international format with the support of the Directorate on International Education of MPEI.

The purpose of the program is to improve professional skills of specialists engaged in electron beam technologies. The acquired knowledge will help to solve professional tasks within the framework of production and technological activities on their enterprises.

The course included lectures and practical classes on such important topics as physical processes in metals during treatment by concentrated energy flows, control and automation of electron-beam technological installations as well as presentation of the main equipment used for electron-beam welding.

Iranian specialists noted the high level of knowledge and professional skills of the course professors as well as highly equipped electron-beam laboratories and complexes of automation of electron-beam processes which allowed them to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice immediately during the training.

At the solemn ceremony, Victor Dragunov, the Vice-Rector on research activity, and Director of the Directorate of International Education Sultan Makoev, the Director on International Education, awarded the graduates with diplomas. They congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the program and thanked the department representatives for their excellent work.

The final event of the program was a round table on cooperation in the field of electron beam technologies. Alexander Demidov, the Program Manager, emphasized that such a format of joint work served to mutual exchange of practical experience as well as to identify new possible areas of partnership development.
