MPEI continues to develop cooperation with Chinese Universities

Within the participation in the New Silk Road Initiative, Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, visited School of Energy & Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. During his official visit Nikolay Rogalev met with Dr. Qiuwang Wang, Professor of School of Energy & Power Engineering.

Each party expressly noted the long and fruitful cooperation between MPEI and Xi'an Jiaotong University. Students and employees from MPEI annually take part in exchange programmes and summer schools of the University, they study technics, Chinese language and they get acquainted with the culture of the country.

Russian education is traditionally highly rated in China. Chinese students choose MPEI due to the wide range of technical specialities offered by the University and they rely on great prospects for further development in their chosen fields.

Dr. Qiuwan Wang invited Nikolay Rogalev to participate in the 2nd International Conference on Energy Storage and Saving, that will be held from 24 to 27 November at Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop strong collaborative relationship in the field of training highly qualified specialists for the development of the energy sector at both Universities.

The University Alliance of the Silk Road has been operating since 2015, helping universities to develop cooperation in the field of education. Since the very foundation of the Alliance, MPEI has been one of the 18 universities forming the Executive Committee of the University Alliance.
