Joint webinar of MPEI and Xi’an Jiaotong University

In accordance with the agreements reached during the visit of the delegation of Xi’an Jiaotong University to the MPEI on October 27th, 2023 (more details here), the parties organized a joint webinar to discuss specific areas and forms of cooperation. 

On November 27th, the webinar was held and became part of the International Conference on Energy Storage and Energy Conversation of the 2nd International Conference on Energy Storage (ICENSS 2023) organized by Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Qiuwang Wang, professor, Executive Director of the International Joint Laboratory, Wenfeng Liu, professor, Director for International Cooperation and Exchanges, heads and professors of the Faculties of Thermal Power Engineering and Electric Power Engineering, as well as the head of the Department of Innovative Technologies of High-tech Industries, Andrey Rogalev, professor, who spoke at the conference at the invitation of the organizers. 

From MPEI side, Sergey Shirinskii, Head of International Administration, Alexander Dedov, Director of the Institute of Thermal and Nuclear Power Engineering, Rinat Nasyrov, Associate Professor of the Institute of the Electrical Power Engineering and Nadezhda Savchenkova, Associate Professor of the Institute of Energy Efficiency and Hydrogen Technologies attended the webinar.

During the meeting, the parties introduced each other to the structure of related faculties, areas of student training, scientific projects and achievements of recent years. Parties agreed to coordinate and sign a new Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities no later than December, as well as to begin work on the creation of joint educational programs. Specific areas and training programs, as well as the procedure for organizing joint programs will be reflected in bilateral agreements.
