Collaboration with Uzbekistan Universities15.06.2018From the 14th until 22nd of May 2018 MPEI hosted the delegations of Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University and Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute led by the Rectors of the mentioned Universities. The Tashkent State Technical University delegation was headed by Rector Professor Mr. S. Turabdjanov. The delegation included Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Technologies Mr. Abdujabarov and associate professor of Faculty of Power Engineering Mr. Rismukhamedov. TSTU was founded in 1920. At present time TSTU is one of the largest technical Universities in Central Asia in domains of Aviation, Geology, Machinery, Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automatics. The University’s Campus includes modern Education Complex, training and scientific laboratories, hostels, experimental base and the network of the preliminary courses and after-graduate education. Currently in TSTU there are more than 10 thousand students, 200 Ph.D. students and 800 professors. The Delegation of Jizzakh Politechnic Institute (JizPI) was headed by Rector Alisher Usmankulov, and included the Head of the Radio Electronics department Sergey Sattarov. JizPI was founded in 1992 on the base of Tashkent Chemical-Technological and Tashkent Automobile and Road Construction Institute. Currently at the Institute there are more than 1200 full-time and 1800 part-time students. On the 16th of May the delegation was received by MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev. In the conference hall of MPEI the ceremony of signing the roadmap in the spheres of Scientific Research and Collaboration Development between MPEI, TUSU and JizPI was held. The representatives of the delegation were met by Vice-Rector on Research Activity Victor Dragunov and Vice-Rector on International Relations Vladimir Zamolodchikov. They have discussed the issues of collaboration in the educational and development domains. During the visit the Uzbek colleagues were met at the institutes and departments of our University. As a result the appointment for the visit of TUSU and JizPI by Head of Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics Irina Miroshnikova, Head of Institute of Electrical Power Engineering Vladimir Tulskiy and Deputy Head of Institute of Hydroenergetics and Renewable Sources of Eenergy Tatyana Shestopalova has been made. Moreover, the meeting between Uzbekistan representatives and the Head of the Educational Department, Dmitriy Ivanov has been arranged. There has also been a technical consultation about the organization of online lectures and webinars.MPEI hopes to achieve further fruitful development of collaboration with Uzbekistan Universities.
