MPEI took part in autumn session of International School of Entrepreneurship ABU-202219.10.202212-13 October, 2022, an autumn session of International School of Entrepreneurship ABU-2022 was being carried out remotely. It was organized by MPEI and the University of Alihan Bökeyhan, Kazakhstan, and its topic was “Modern concepts of leadership: factors of success”. The main goal of ABU-2022 School is to form leadership and entrepreneurship competences of youth, motivate them to build a business career and succeed as businessmen. The event was aimed at students and schoolchildren from Russia and Kazakhstan interested in business and entrepreneurship. On October 12, Professor Veselin Blagoev spoke about modern leadership theories, advantages and disadvantages; leadership qualities and leadership behavior of companies in the market. The following significant issues were discussed: leadership issues; difference between the concepts of a manager and a leader; leadership model factors; characteristics of leaders; concept of an "ideal" leader. On October 13, the officers of the Department of International Relations, Elena Gulicheva, Head of the Department, Marina Osipova, Deputy Head and Ekaterina Sysoeva, Leading specialist, spoke about the formation of modern managerial competencies in the digital economy, the importance of developing digital competencies in order to become a leader. The following issues were discussed: leadership levels; leadership concepts; methodology "Hierarchy of labor motivation"; digital economy and new educational ecosystem; levels of digital competencies and methods of their formation; management in the conditions of innovative changes. The importance of innovation for companies, team roles and various types of goal orientation, the concept of strategic leadership were discussed as well. The main goal of ABU-2022 School is to form leadership and entrepreneurship competences of youth, motivate them to build a business career and succeed as businessmen. The topic of business training of young people for entrepreneurial activity in real socio-economic conditions is extremely relevant and attracts more and more attention due to the recognition of the paramount role played by the entrepreneur in the economic development of society. More than 50 people from Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the event.
