Chinese delegation visited MPEI

MPEI International Division informs that on January 15, 2013 a delegation from Hulunbuir College (People's Republic of China) visited MPEI. The delegation included ZHU YUDONG – Rector, GUO WEIZHONG – Vice Rector, LI XIULIN – chief of the International Department, WANG SHUEN – deputy chief of the International Department. The delegation was accompanied by Director of Association of the East European universities - Bogdan Voronovsky.

Hulunbuir College is located in the Inner Mongolia of China (the Hulunbeir City) and it is a full-time University. It includes 22 faculties and secondary school. The institute staff now is 1185 people. According to bachelor degree and magistracy programs at institute about 12000 full-time students are trained.

The Chinese delegation had been accepted by Vice Rector on International Relations - Zamolodchikov Vladimir. Head of External Relations department - Shirinsky Sergey and Head of department of International Cooperation Tarasov Alexander also took part in negotiations from MPEI part. During conversation the delegation examined MPEI activity, and also presented their own University. There had been discussed several cooperation questions in the field of "two diplomas" program implementation and possibility of short-term and long-term language training for Chinese students in MPEI.

The delegation visited Institute of management and economy in energetics and industry where they had been accepted by Director Belousov Sergey and the Russian-German institute "MPEI-FESTO" where they had been welcomed by Director Smirnov M. Guests examined activity of these Divisions and discussed cooperation prospects.

Establishment of contacts with Hulunbuir College can be interesting and perspective for both Parties. The parties agreed to define the directions and forms of cooperation and in the long term to sign the bilateral Contract on cooperation.​
