MPEI International Division informs that from February 6 to February 9, 2013 MPEI participated in the International Educational Exhibition "STUDIES 2013" in Lithuania. The particular interest to Russian education, besides the Russian-speaking population, was shown by the Lithuanians who don’t know Russian, in particular, to education in MPEI in English in the Informatics and Computer Engineering areas.

Within participation in the exhibition "STUDIES 2013" MPEI distributes handbills, booklets in Russian and in English, there had been organized negotiations on cooperation with the representatives of technical colleges holding senior positions. There had been as well the meeting with Vilnius mayor adviser - Mr. Vitalius Besakirskas, his sphere of influence has main agencies of the Vilnius-city rendering intermediary services in distribution of students in Universities. During a meeting there had been discussed prospects of an admission and a way of MPEI entrants' involvement.

According to the results of an exhibition in April, 2013 it is planned to hold MPEI presentations in Russian-speaking schools of the Lithuanian cities with the highest percent of the Russian-speaking population: Vilnius, Klaipeda and Visaginas with support of Russian Federation Embassy. There has been discussing possibility of MPEI participation in work of Russian education information center in Vilnius, opening this summer.
