The department has organized a three-level system of training: Bachelor, Master and PhD in the field of "Economics" in full-time and part-time forms of education. Training is carried out taking into account the current requirements of employers and professional standards which ensures the demand for the graduates in the labor market.

  • Development of methods and tools to improve the energy efficiency of generating companies in the context of economic modernization and assess the mobility of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the field of economic sciences by performing short-term research;
  • Development of organizational and economic mechanisms for the implementation of the scientific, technical and production potential of the power engineering industry using localization;
  • Development of a methodology for the formation of the optimal power structure of a modern combined power plant operating in a competitive energy market;
  • Development of models to estimate the cost of new power equipment with higher steam parameters;
  • Investigation of the process of cross-country energy integration and the development of economic and mathematical models for the formation and development of cross-border energy systems and integrated electricity markets based on them;
  • Development of cost models promising CCPP with supercritical and ultrasupercritical steam parameters.

Features

Using a synthesis of technical and economic knowledge, the department provides comprehensive training for specialists in economics, taking into account the technological industry characteristics of the energy sector, and also conducts research on an interdisciplinary basis with the proposal of technically and economically sound solutions. Educational programs are developed with the participation of leading industry employers. Students actively participate in olympiads, conferences and research work of the department.
