Summary
The
Department of "Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Machines named after V.S.
Kvyatkovsky" conducts educational and scientific work in the field of
design power plants design and operation based on sources of
hydraulic and pneumatic energy.
Students
receive high-quality fundamental knowledge about the static and dynamic
interaction of fluid with various hydropower facilities in the process of
mastering the course "fluid and gas mechanics". They get acquainted
with the working process and designs of volumetric, bladed hydraulic machines
and hydraulic transmissions, gain in-depth knowledge of hydraulic technology
within the framework of the discipline "hydraulic and pneumatic
devices". The learning process is associated not only with the development
of creating hydropower equipment principles but also with
qualified skills in managing them. Students
study it within the framework of the course "Management of technical
systems". At the final stages of training, students complete course
projects and final qualifying works developing
new technical solutions in the areas of pump engineering, improving hydraulic
turbines, and hydraulic pneumatic drive systems.
Research projects
Development of proposals
for improving the efficiency of the fleet of pumping and draft equipment of
power facilities
Development and creation
of a prototype module for autonomous power supply of the mechanism for
maneuvering the lock and dam of navigable hydraulic structures
Calculation and theoretical substantiation of parameters and hydrodynamic modeling of the working process in the elements of the flow parts of pumps, taking into account the provision of manufacturability
Features
The
peculiarity of the educational process is:
- Mastering the creative
process of designing and creating hydraulic machines (pumps, hydraulic
turbines) and hydropneumatic systems that meet the best global trends.
- Training in the
operation and maintenance of modern hydraulic equipment.
- Studying the basics of
engineering creativity, the rules of non-standard thinking in the field of
technologyю
- Application of
nature-like technologies in hydrodynamic systems.
